The Effect:

What you get:

You introduce your Magician’s Insurance Policy and explain that you are fully covered for card tricks, just in case things go wrong. A card is selected, signed, and pushed into the deck by the spectator themselves. They can even shuffle. You try to find it and fail. How embarrassing. That is why you have insurance. The policy is removed from your wallet and handed to the spectator to read. At the end of the terms and conditions, with some fun byplay built in, they get to: “To redeem this policy immediately, please see other side.” They turn it over and discover they are holding their signed card, impossibly printed on the insurance policy itself. It is a clean, logical routine with a built-in presentation and a clear ending that happens in the spectator’s hands. The kind of moment that gets strong reactions and is easy for people to remember.
